３月８日は「国際女性の日」です。世界中の女性たち、そして男女共同参画に取り組む関係者の皆様とともに、お祝いしたいと思います。
March 8 is "International woman's day. "I want to congratulate it with everybody of parties concerned who work on women all over the world and gender equalities.
我が国の男女共同参画は、男女の平等や女性の地位向上を目指す国際社会の取組と多くの方々の御尽力により進められてきました。
The gender equality of our country has been advanced by the match of the international society that aims at the gender equality and the improvement of the status of women and many of that efforts.
女性も男性も一人ひとりの人権が尊重され、意欲と能力に応じて活躍できる男女共同参画社会の実現は、我が国における最重要課題の１つです。
Human rights of each and every person are esteemed to the woman and the man, and the achievement of a gender-equal society that can be active according to the desire and the ability is one of the high-priority issues in our country.
特に、少子高齢・人口減少社会にあって、女性の能力が如何なく発揮され、活躍できる社会を築くことが、経済社会の活性化にも不可欠です。
Especially,
The birthrate decreases, and the number of senior citizens increases, and woman's ability is not limited, and it is indispensable to build a society that can be active to activate the economic society in the society that decreases the population.
このため、昨年１２月に閣議決定した第３次男女共同参画基本計画を力強く実行してまいります。
Therefore,
A gender equality basis plan the third to which the Cabinet Council was decided last December is powerfully executed.
また、男女共同参画の推進に当たっては、国のみならず、地域レベルでの取組が重要です。
Moreover, when the gender equality is promoted, not only the country but also the match at a regional level is important.
地域における男女共同参画の推進の核となる地方自治体、男女共同参画センター、ＮＧＯなどとの連携を深め、社会全体に取組の輪が広がるよう、しっかりと応援していきたいと思います。
I want to assist firmly so that the cooperation such as the local government, the gender equality center, and NGO that become nuclei of promotion of the gender equality in the region may be deepened, and the circle of the match may extend to the whole society.
２１世紀の最重要課題の１つである男女共同参画社会の実現に向けて、今後とも、皆様とともに、取り組んでまいります。
It works with everybody aiming at the achievement of the gender-equal society that is one of the high-priority issues with the 21st century in the future and it comes.
